Side Event

Tour „Steel Experience“ & Carbon2Chem® at thyssenkrupp

The world is changing, and steel is part of the transformation.

High-quality steel is indispensable in a sustainable society. It helps make electric motors run, is a key element in wind turbines, is recyclable, and offers almost unrivalled durability.

thyssenkrupp Steel has set out to make its steel production climate-neutral – shaping the future of steel production with a comprehensive conversion of its production facilities together with investments in new technologies.

We invite you to experience the transformation of steel production. During a plant tour of the Duisburg site, our tour guides will give you an informative insight into the production processes of today and tomorrow.

The tour then continues to the Carbon2Chem® facility.

At Carbon2Chem, CO₂-rich blast furnace gases are converted into chemicals like methanol and ammonia. This innovative process not only reduces greenhouse gases but also transforms these emissions into valuable resources.
