Investigations on the interaction of additives in diesel fuel with 10 % (V/V) FAME content

The main target of this report was the evaluation if interactions occur between MDFI/WASA and BDFI in diesel fuel/FAME-Blends. For that purpose, B10-fuel blends were prepared and investigated using FAME blends with different compositions. No harm tests and cold flow properties, such as CFPP and Pour Point, were considered.

MDFI/WASA and BDFI additives showed no unfavourable interactions. The addition of BDFI in the predominant cases of these investigations leads to improvements of no harm and cold flow properties, but never to worsening.
