In reservoir engineering, the profitability of a field's production is determined, strategies for optimal exploitation are developed and technical measures for efficient production are taken. The aim is to achieve the highest possible production with the highest possible recovery factor.
This objective is achieved through the coordinated operation of production and injection wells and, if necessary, the use of IOR/EOR measures. 3D deposit models and simulations form the basis for their planning and operation.
A comprehensive series of DGMK research reports already exists on the topics IOR (Improved Oil Recovery) and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery). Further research focuses are the development of tight gas reservoirs and the improvement of reservoir models.
