Vision & Mission

Providing a sustainable and climate-neutral energy supply will be the challenge of our generation. This mammoth task can only be mastered together, involving all creativity & innovation.

With our network, we want to help shape the change towards a sustainable energy supply.

We want to increase the visibility of women in the industry and create space for inspiration, exchange of ideas and knowledge transfer in technical fields to ensure a sustainable and successful industry.

We see the need, the desire and the potential to create a lively network for women from the energy world, which is unique in the German-speaking world with its target group. In its role as a neutral platform for technical-scientific exchange in the energy sector, the DGMK offers the ideal institution to successfully establish such a network.

She Drives Energy - is aimed at all technically interested women working in the energy sector.

With She Drives Energy we pursue...

  • The establishment of a lively and sustainable network. The interdisciplinary exchange of female technicians, scientists, engineers and experts from upstream, midstream and downstream, renewable energies and associated fields is at the center.
  • The support through exchange in factual topics, advice in career questions and inspiration.
  • Bringing the technical & scientific disciplines closer to young women - high school & high school graduates, female students, lab technicians and young professionals.
  • The creation of a protected space for trustful exchange and respectful learning from each other (e.g. mentoring).
  • Opportunities for further development (career growth).

Further information and details on implementation are set out in the strategy paper.

wom.e.n. - Women.Energy.Network e.V. is an independent network and communication platform by women for women working in the energy industry, an industry in which more women should be represented, especially in leadership positions.

#InnovativeWomen makes innovative women in science, business and society visible.

Women in Tech e.V. is a cross-industry, non-profit association with the goal of attracting, promoting and making more visible women in technical professions. They feel part of a global movement, but their focus is on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

They want to contribute to a more equal and diverse society and motivate girls and women in particular to take up a technical profession. To do this, they host digital and local events, showcase Role Models, and build a strong and diverse network of companies, educational institutions, and other organizations. In collaboration with their partners, they offer mentoring, career coaching and much more.

CIW IN  is the engineering network of the KIT Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering (CIW). Aim of the CIW IN is to provide women within the faculty, regardless of what point in their academic career they are at, with both professional and social exchanges

The basic objective of the DGG - Equal Opportunities Committee is the fair distribution of opportunities for all DGG members, regardless of gender. In order to compensate for the inequities that still exist in the distribution of opportunities for men versus women, the committee is particularly committed to promoting female members. At the same time, the committee aims to increase awareness of equal opportunities among all members.
