Cold Flow Performance of Diesel Fuel and Winter Operability of Diesel Passenger Cars- Fuel Variations (Part 2)

Based on the results of the DGMK project 764-1, an experimental vehicle was selected for further investigations. This vehicle seems to be able to differentiate different fuels in their cold behaviour accordingly. With investigations in the laboratory and on the cold test bench, a broader data basis is to be developed which could contribute to clarifying the relationship between vehicle technology, fuel quality and drivability of diesel vehicles at low temperatures.

The selected test vehicle was driven with four winter diesel fuels and one fuel of the transitional goods according to a defined procedure on the cold roller test bench. The tests are accompanied by a laboratory programme.
