With a start date of 1 March 2021, the BMWi is funding a project in the product area that deals with the formulation of marketable, innovative fuels.
Project start: Solubility behaviour of paraffinic diesel fuels
The aim of the project is a structured investigation and the creation of basic knowledge on the influence of higher proportions of n-paraffinic and iso-paraffinic components (or lower proportions of aromatics) in diesel fuels on central fuel properties.
In particular, the special requirements of logistics, such as temperature changes and mixing of different components, as well as seasonal differences (summer, winter quality) and interactions with the biodiesel content commonly found in diesel fuel, are to be taken into account.
The project is funded by the BMWi under the title "Investigation and description of the solubility behaviour of paraffinic diesel fuels" and will run for 2.5 years.
