Working Group
Drilling Fluids and Cements

Experts from E&P companies, storage operators, service companies and universities founded the Working Group Drilling Fluids and Cements in 2013 under the umbrella of the DGMK's Geo-Energy Systems and Underground Technologies Department.

The permanent members of the working group consist of mud professionals from the E&P and storage industries, the service industry and universities. If required, guests on special topics are invited to the biannual meetings.

Goals

The aim of this working group is to deal with questions of sophisticated flushing technology, to enable mutual exchange and thus to facilitate the solution of flushing-related problems.

A lively network of experts from the service industry, E&P companies and universities are at the heart of the working group. During the biannual meetings, expert presentations on current topics are given and discussed. Open questions are introduced into the DGMK joint research.

Workshops on selected topics, such as "Formation Damage", are held at irregular intervals. Interlaboratory tests and a laboratory catalogue provide participants with additional quality control of the in-house mud analysis.
