Composition of Heating Oils in 2025

Data on the composition of heating oils were last published by the DGMK in 2005. A new edition was initiated at the recommendation of the DGMK’s Analytical Chemistry Technical Committee. Twelve samples of EL heating oil from distribution points of German and Austrian refinery operators, as well as two imported samples, were analyzed. In addition, two paraffinic heating oils were examined. The study investigated chemical and physical parameters that are of interest from an application-technology perspective or based on ecological criteria.
