The final report of the study "Production of greenhouse gas reduced or greenhouse gas neutral gaseous and liquid energy carriers and fuels" (DGMK project 815) is completed and available as a free download on the DGMK website! Production of greenhouse gas reduced or greenhouse gas neutral gaseous and liquid energy carriers and fuels - DGMK e.V. 

The Research Committee on Greenhouse Gas Reduction of the DGMK has accompanied the project for more than 3 years and with this study provides a unique reference framework for concrete implementation scenarios of the energy transition in transport. 

Within the framework of the project, a large number of production processes for alternative fuels have been investigated and analysed with regard to their technical potential and their possible social and economic significance. 

In particular, energy demand, CO2 footprint and cost scenarios for the different products and production routes were considered. 

Due to the holistic approach, which includes all parameters from raw materials to manufacturing processes, integrability into existing plants, transport costs and thus location dependencies up to product cost modelling, the DGMK provides with this study a technically solid and resilient basis for discussion for future decisions.
