General Meeting of the DGMK - Election of Committees and Announcement of a Change in the Management

At the general meeting of the DGMK Deutsche Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Erdöl, Erdgas Kohle e.V. on 7 November 2019 in Hamburg, elections were held for the board of directors, the departments, and the scientific advisory board.

The members elected Frederic Sager as member of the board as treasurer of the DGMK. He succeeds Dr. Dirk Elvermann, who will resign from his office at the end of the year. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reinhold Elsen was confirmed as head of the DGMK's Coal and Biomass Refinement Division. Prof. Dr. Dieter Vogt will take over as head of the Petrochemistry Department after the long-standing head of the department, Prof. Dr. Stefan Ernst, passed away unexpectedly at the beginning of the year.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Jess was again appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board. Prof. Dr. Christoph Hilgers was newly elected to the scientific advisory board.

There was also a timely amendment to the statutes. The Coal and Biomass Refining Division will in future be called the Carbon Conversion Division.

At the end of the general meeting Dirk Warzecha, chairman of the DGMK, announced a change of staff in the DGMK office. He bid farewell to Dr. Hedwig Doloszeski, who will leave the DGMK at her own request on 31 December 2019. She will be succeeded by Dr. Dominik Soyk, who is currently in charge of the Exploration and Production Department.
