On September 3 and 4, 2019, the DGMK Expert Committee Petroleum Geology and the Institute for Applied Geosciences of KIT invited to the 1st DGMK/KIT Reservoir Days at Leinsweiler near Landau.
The topic of the Reservoir Days was the reservoir quality of clastic sedimentary rocks with a regional focus on the southwest German red sandstone reservoir. In addition, the Rotliegende in the Upper Rhine Graben, the red sandstone in the North German Basin, and methods of petrography and diagenesis modelling, which have been little explored so far, were also presented.
The participants agreed that the Reservoir Days should definitely be continued. We are already looking forward to the organisation of the follow-up event together with the Petroleum Geology Committee and KIT!
