Rehabilitation of Faults in Pipelines

The aim of this study is to compare the test procedures and results of various methods for repairing defects – mainly on high-pressure gas pipelines and long-distance oil pipelines – that are currently available on the market and used in the field. The types of defects that can be identified with intelligent test methods are described and classified regarding suitable repair methods. The attached matrix (Appendix) provides operators with a tool for the quick and easy selection of suitable repair methods.
