Practical experience due to the integration of the SCC-system into the mangementsystems of contractors - evaluation of the SCC-system -

At present concepts for management systems for occupational health and safety are discussed intensively. Usually the SCC (Safety-Checklist-Contractors} procedure is referred critically. The reason is that it was developed on private-economic initiative and assignes for the proof of the system an external certification audit.

This report discusses the positions to industrial safety management systems and describes the results, which were compiled during the evaluation of the SCC procedure with different methods. The results clarify that the SCC procedure predominantly positively influences security and health protection. From the questionings and the comparison with the recommendations for management concepts starting points for improvements are compiled.
