Automotive Fuels
Composition of Diesel Fuels 2019/2020
The DGMK last carried out an extensive study of diesel fuels in 2002. Due to the changes in fuel requirements and testing procedures, a new data collection was carried out. Thirteen samples of commercially available diesel fuel from eleven German refineries and two samples of imported goods were examined. Each sample set comprises a sample of summer-grade diesel fuel (2019) and a winter-grade sample (2019/2020). The investigated properties were those required by DIN EN 590 for diesel fuels as well as additional physical and chemical parameters that are not required by DIN EN 590. The investigations showed that all samples comply with the required limit values.
