Abstract:
Multitasking is often seen as a strength, but it may come at a hidden cost-especially for women. This paper explores how the constant juggling of tasks, both professionally and personally, can lead to a cycle of busyness that hinders long-term growth. While women are often praised for their ability to manage multiple responsibilities, research suggests that excessive multitasking can reduce efficiency, increase cognitive load, and limit opportunities for strategic thinking and career advancement. By examining the impact of multitasking on productivity, well-being, and professional development, this study challenges the notion that "doing more" always leads to "achieving more." It also offers strategies to shift from busyness to intentional growth, empowering women to prioritize tasks that drive meaningful progress.
