DGMK/ÖGEW spring conference goes on tour! 2026 we are looking forward to a lively exchange in Münster. Be there when science and industry meet, our experts report and the exhibitors present their innovations live.

We kindly ask the speakers to submit an extended abstract for publication in the conference proceedings by March 31, 2025. There are no restrictions on the length of the extended abstract. Illustrations, color and black and white, are permitted. Speakers will receive further information and a Word template from us by e-mail.

Please note that the presenter (oral and poster) must also pay the participation fee.

Poster Award

The DGMK Deutsche Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für nachhaltige Energieträger, Mobilität und Kohlenstoffkreläufe e.V. will once again be awarding the poster prize in 2025. The poster session will take place on May 07, 2025.

The winner of the poster award will receive a free membership in the DGMK for one year and a prize money of EUR 250.

Tour 1

Visit "Epe Karvernenspeicherfeld"

The Epe cavern field is one of the largest underground storage systems in Europe. This extensive complex is used to store not only crude oil and natural gas, but also helium. In addition, hydrogen is expected to be stored at the site in the near future. The use of these underground caverns can lead to changes at the surface, which may manifest, for example, as ground subsidence or uplift. The excursion concludes with a visit to RWE. Here, participants will learn more about the work currently underway on hydrogen storage. The group will gain exclusive insight into the technical challenges and innovative processes involved in the safe storage of hydrogen. The tour offers not only exciting insights into energy storage but also into current developments in the energy transition.

Drone-Based Measurements in the Münsterland Region

The Münsterland region is known for its natural gas seeps caused by geological processes. The field trip will be led by experienced scientists who, among other things, use state-of-the-art drone technology to vividly visualize natural gas seeps in the Münsterland region. During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to experience innovative mobile gas detection technology up close. The tour will explain how the combination of aerial imagery and data analysis provides a comprehensive picture of the gas seeps and how this information can be used for further research projects. The field trip offers not only fascinating insights into the geology of the Münsterland region but also into the practical application of modern measurement techniques, which are becoming increasingly important.

Registration

In addition to attending the conference, the participation fees include the digital conference report with the author manuscripts of the lectures and poster presentations available from the conference office as well as participation in the welcome evening, drinks during breaks and snacks.

This year, the public transportation pass for Münster is also included. More information will be available in April 2026. 

Please use the registration form below for your binding registration.

After registration you will receive an invoice for the conference fee to be paid. Please do not make any advance payments.

If registration is canceled by March 12, 2026, the DGMK will refund any fees already paid, minus a fee of EUR 30.00. From March 13, 2026, the full conference fee will be charged.

A processing fee of EUR 50.00 will be charged for reregistrations of participants.
