Abstracts can be submitted in English or German.

Deadline for abstract submission: January 12, 2026

We kindly ask the speakers to submit an extended abstract for publication in the conference proceedings by March 31, 2025. There are no restrictions on the length of the extended abstract. Illustrations, color and black and white, are permitted. Speakers will receive further information and a Word template from us by e-mail.

Please note that the presenter (oral and poster) must also pay the participation fee.

Poster Award

The DGMK Deutsche Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für nachhaltige Energieträger, Mobilität und Kohlenstoffkreläufe e.V. will once again be awarding the poster prize in 2025. The poster session will take place on May 07, 2025.

The winner of the poster award will receive a free membership in the DGMK for one year and a prize money of EUR 250.

Travel allowance for students

For your accepted contribution to this year's spring conference, you will receive a travel allowance of up to €150 from us.

How do I apply for the travel allowance?

  • Submit your abstract - poster or presentation - by 12.01.2026 via the submission tool. The prerequisite is that you are the first author of your contribution.
  • Send an informal request by email to ines.musekamp@dgmk.de mit folgenden zusätzlichen Informationen:
              *Valid student ID
              *Abstract no. of the submitted abstract

At the beginning of March 2026, we will inform the students who will receive a travel grant. Payment will be made after the spring conference.

Tour 1

Visit "Epe Karvernenspeicherfeld"

Das Kavernenfeld Epe zählt zu den größten unterirdischen Speichersystemen Europas. In diesem weitläufigen Komplex werden nicht nur Erdöl und Erdgas, sondern auch Helium gelagert. Darüber hinaus soll am Standort in naher Zukunft Wasserstoff gespeichert werden. Die Nutzung dieser unterirdischen Kavernen kann zu Veränderungen an der Tagesoberfläche, die sich beispielsweise in Form von Bodenabsenkungen oder -hebungen bemerkbar machen können. Zum Abschluss der Exkursion steht ein Besuch bei RWE auf dem Programm. Hier erfahren die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer mehr über die aktuell laufenden Arbeiten zur Speicherung von Wasserstoff. Die Gruppe erhält einen exklusiven Einblick in die technischen Herausforderungen und innovativen Verfahren, die mit der sicheren Lagerung von Wasserstoff verbunden sind. Die Tour bietet nicht nur spannende Einblicke in die Energiespeicherung, sondern auch in aktuelle Entwicklungen der Energiewende.

Drohnengestütze Messungen im Münsterland

Das Münsterland ist bekannt für seine natürlichen Gasaustritte durch geologische Prozesse. Die Exkursion wird begleitet von erfahrenen Wissenschaftler:innen, die unter anderem modernste Drohnentechnologie einsetzen, um natürliche Gasaustritte im Münsterland anschaulich zu visualisieren. Während der Tour haben die Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit, die innovative mobile Gasspürtechnik aus nächster Nähe zu erleben. Es wird erklärt, wie durch die Kombination aus Luftaufnahmen und Datenanalyse ein umfassendes Bild der Gasaustritte entsteht und wie diese Informationen für weitere Forschungsprojekte genutzt werden können. Die Exkursion bietet nicht nur spannende Einblicke in die Geologie des Münsterlands, sondern auch in den praktischen Einsatz moderner Messtechniken, die zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen.

Registration

In addition to attending the conference, the participation fees include the digital conference report with the author manuscripts of the lectures and poster presentations available from the conference office as well as participation in the welcome evening, drinks during breaks and snacks.

After registration you will receive an invoice for the conference fee to be paid. Please do not make any advance payments.

If registration is canceled by March 12, 2026, the DGMK will refund any fees already paid, minus a fee of EUR 30.00. From March 13, 2026, the full conference fee will be charged.

A processing fee of EUR 50.00 will be charged for reregistrations of participants.
