Working Group
The Working Group Coal and Biomass Refining supports the scientific exchange on the topic and discusses the potential of existing technologies in times of the energy transformation. Its core consists of around 35 members from science and the industry.
The bi-annual meetings serve as a forum for exchanging information on ongoing projects at institutes and companies on the use of coal technologies and their transfer to biomass. In cooperation with acatech Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften, the working group organises workshops on the role of coal and biomass in shaping the energy system transformation.
The initiative "Fact Collection Carbon" is an ongoing project that aims to collect and process knowledge about carbon. Especially the omnipresent "decarbonisation" is ought to be addressed.
