The World Petroleum Council, has announced that their focus will be expanded to include the global transition to a low-carbon energy system achieved through a diverse and sustainable mix of energy sources. Following this decision, as of July 10, 2023, the organization will bear the new name of WPC Energy.
WPC Energy will take a series of bold steps to achieve its new goals. It will also carry a bold and distinct new visual identity, including a modernized logo and new tagline:"The World Forum for Energy Transformation."
The WPC is currently in the process of creating a new image for itself, which will be officially launched at the Calgary Congress in September 2023. The website and URL will be replaced as part of this effort.
