The investigation of the materials used in existing underground gas storage facilities with regard to their suitability for the storage of hydrogen or also with regard to the storage of natural gas-hydrogen mixtures places special demands on the technical equipment. The systematic investigation of underground pipe tours is aimed at in a research project. In its role as a neutral scientific association, the DGMK is coordinating this industrially jointly funded research project.
