The guideline was created in collaboration with the BVEG and the DGMK and is aimed at all institutions and individuals involved in deep geothermal energy, such as investors, insurers, planners, project developers, operators, supervisory or approval authorities. In terms of content, the guideline offers a standardized and generally applicable methodology for dealing with geological uncertainties in open hydrothermal and petrothermal energy production. The aim is to provide a transparent and transferable/reusable guide for assessing and quantifying the geological probability of success and variability.
