The use of hydrogen as a future energy source is a core element of the European energy transition. H2 underground storage is a key component of the hydrogen strategy when it comes to reconciling fluctuating energy production with consumption. The technical challenges that affect the entire system, from geological storage to the upgrading of OT plants and feeding into the pipeline system, must be addressed and solved. The DGMK/BVEG 'H2 Storage Project Day' will once again focus on current technical research and application projects.
