The DGMK Deutsche Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für nachhaltige Energieträger, Mobilität und Kohlenstoffkreläufe e.V. (German Scientific Society for Sustainable Energy Sources, Mobility and Carbon Cycles) is a non-profit association based in Hamburg, which supports a network of experts from industry and research and is actively involved in the development of the energy sector. The DGMK offers a neutral platform for the scientific and technical exchange of experience between science and practice.
For the DGMK office in Hamburg, we are looking for a full-time position at the earliest possible date.
Scientific advisor (m/f/d)
The position is assigned to the DGMK Department of Geo-Energy Systems and Underground Technologies. This deals with the intelligent use of the deep underground, i.e. the production of crude oil and natural gas, the sustainable use of natural gas and hydrogen storage facilities, geothermal energy for local heat supply and the extraction of metals that are in high demand worldwide, such as rare earths and lithium.
YOUR TASKS:
- Administrative management & moderation of technical working groups and task forces
- Active participation in committee meetings of professional associations at national level
- Communication with industry, research institutions, authorities and associations
- Project management of industry and publicly funded research projects
- Conception and realization of DGMK events (workshops, conferences)
REQUIREMENTS:
- A university degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field
- Several years of professional experience in the subsurface industry
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Communication skills and ability to cooperate
- Goal-oriented, careful and structured way of working (independently)
- Willingness to travel regularly
