The women's network She Drives Energy invites you to an after-work event in Hamburg. We can look forward to an exciting presentation by Birte Falch on "CCU - CO2 from Waste to Feedstock. And the role of policy in scaling green molecules". In addition to room for questions and exchange, there will be the opportunity to network afterwards over drinks and snacks.

After Work Event "CCU - CO2 from Waste to Feedstock. And the role of policy in scaling green molecules"
Abstract
The EU is committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and the Commission has recommended that the EU should seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2040.
Achieving these targets will require decisive action across all economic sectors to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The rapid development of renewable energy is a large driver, rightfully receiving high attention.
However, some industrial processes and forms of transport are more difficult or expensive to decarbonize. This is why there is a role to play for technologies to remove, capture, store and re-use carbon.
Whilst green electrons will play the leading role in the energy transition, they now receive an unexpected wing man - CO2!
This presentation gives insights into how the recognition of CO2 as a valuable feedstock is gaining momentum and what role policy making plays.
